The Two remedies movement method
The why

  • The method is science-based. Biomechanics helps us understand what the human body and its joints are designed to be capable of. If there is a gap between that and your current capacity, Two remedies helps you gradually close that gap.

  • Your coaching is individual and tailormade. You won’t just receive exercises or be forced into a preconceived program. The method will meet you where you are: every exercise is chosen with your goals in mind. Besides that, you’ll learn why you’re doing it, what is meant to improve, and when it is useful for you.

  • Your body is a source of information. It can tell you what you need to get stronger and move better. Two remedies helps you understand what your body is communicating and teaches you how to work with it. This will make you recover more effectively and perform better.

The how: Explore. Understand. Apply.

  • Curiosity comes first. Every session starts with the important question: “What state are you in today, and what does your body actually need?”

  • Rather than immediately trying to correct something, we first explore. Through movement, breath and awareness, we look at what your body is communicating and connect that to what you feel and what you want to achieve.

  • From there, we turn understanding into action. Depending on what you need, this may include mobility and strength training, breathwork, neurotraining, rehabilitation or massage.

We explore. We understand. We apply.

The goal

  • When you learn to listen to your body with curiosity rather than judgement, you begin to move with greater freedom, resilience and trust.

  • From there you can apply what you have learned to build strength, improve performance and keep progressing with confidence, whether you want to move through life with less pain, perform better or learn advanced skills such as handstands or splits.

The person behind Two remedies - movement, Sophie
Teacher. Practitioner. Lifelong student.
My movement journey started with judo when I was 4 years old. Aikido, karate and boxing followed. Boxing and competing in it, was my absolute favorite, because of its full-contact nature. It taught me a great deal about physical and emotional control - and how I often lacked that. Freediving is my latest passion. It brings together athleticism, body awareness, deep relaxation, nervous system regulation and breath control in a way I find endlessly fascinating.

An academic at heart, I love science, research and technical knowledge. For years, I have studied movement, breath, fascia and anatomy through martial arts, Pralaya yoga, pilates and mobility training, including Functional Range Conditioning. My latest field of study is tinnitus. I have experienced this since 2023 and discovered many ways in which it can be influenced - for better and for worse.

All knowledge matters, but so does lived experience. My own path through injuries, burnout, recovery and rebuilding has shaped my view on training: the body is not simply something to overrule or control. It is a magnifier of our state and a roadmap, helping us understand what we need in order to perform at out best. Learning how to listen to the body is a lifelong practice. Mine included.
